El Paraiso in Anderson

11/17/2018 We were just passing through and stopped here for lunch. The young waitress was very nice and provided excellent service. Our meal was served quickly...and I especially liked the taste of lime in my burrito. We will definitely come again next time we come this way.

Went here for lunch today was amazing!! The new waitress was so outgoing and attentive we watched her clean tables, and keep things looking nice and organized. We will continue coming to this restaurant great service, very clean restaurant and wonderful food like always.

This is absolutely the best Mexican food in Shasta County. The atmosphere is delightful it's clean and pleasant and a happy place to be.

This place is dirty!!! Outdated, dirty and the food was pretty bad. My boyfriend ordered an asada burrito and I went with the cheese enchilada because I was afraid to eat meat here from how dirty it was. His burrito had barely any steak and the bell peppers and onions weren't even cooked. When our waitress served me my plate they gave me a quesadilla? Not a huge deal but kind of annoying since we were already uncomfortable here. It came back fast and was fine - the waitress was nice. Salsa was terrible. It was like...carbonated? Worst experience I have had at a Mexican restaurant ever. I am never coming back and I would not recommend it to anyone as I am sure there are several health and safety hazards here. We are lucky we didn't get sick!

This is actually really good food. The place is really dated and old looking but great food. Give them a try. I like coming here because its hardly never busy and the staff is nice.

Very good food but the server could have been a little bit nicer though.

Is it just me or do they put parmesan cheese on their beans. look like it, smelled like it, and taste like it. I wasn't impressed at all. Edit.. We woke in the night with food poison symptoms.

Was not something I would recommend. The food was blah. And when I asked for a certain ingredient to be left out, they obviously didn't listen because that was the ONLY thing I could taste.. when I asked for them to fix it, she told me I would be charged for a remake... HUH?!

Service was great and food came out quick. Very bland tho. Had to add ample amounts of tapatio to get through it. We will not be returning.

I used to visit 2x a week had good food and good prices. Now that they have remodeled they have doubled their prices. On top of doubling their pricing they care less about their customers. Sat down and waited 20 mins for someone to take our order. We had to leave because we were so hungry. They didn't even notice we left which is impressive given the layout of the restaurant. Save yourself some trouble go to any other restaurant

Waited 20 minutes for our drinks our order was wrong both plates. And super humid inside will never go again. We walked out didn't t eat.

Nice place with good food that is priced well. The booths are great since they have some room to them. The service was good as well.

Is this place going out of business? All beer taps out, no guacamole or sour cream, and super slow service with only three tables occupied. It was just depressing. We brought our food home to add condiments. I'm sure it was good when served hot, but not so great reheated.

Sunset-colored restaurant offers yummy Mexican favorites. Soft drinks are huge. They serve beer & wine only so the margaritas are wine but tasty and large. The tables are unfortunately wrapped in vinyl but cool fans spin overhead and a grotto of plants adds more coolness. I liked it very much for what it was, a sweet low-priced Anderson gem of a Mexican spot.

Absolutely delicious authentic style Mexican food. Good clean restaurant with wonderfully cheery atmosphere. The Carnitas are great and you can buy them by the pound to take home. Chili Riano star fabulous and we will definitely be back.

El Paraiso is one of our very favorite restaurants. We have always enjoyed every meal we have ordered. The portions are generous and quite reasonable for what you receive.

New to the community and missing Mexican food. Found food that was delicious. Restaurant was busy and it was taco Tuesday. Will return for food and atmosphere.

Last time we ate there service was terrible as was food, waiter and cook too busy messing around in back!

Foods always good and friendly staff. They have happy hour and Tuesday/Thursday are $1.00 tacos.

Not very good any more

I had the chili Colorado and wife had a street taco. Both came with beans & rice. The outside is nicely landscaped and inside nicely decorated and clean. Food was tasty and pretty good. I'd give 5 stars if beans tasted like Grandma's but still searching for the place that does.

Hmmm, where do I begin! Service was slow. One server on a Friday night. Waited 58 minutes from order to table. Had to ask for refills and salsa. One star is being extremely generous !

The food is always good and always fresh! The Taco Trucks pull in and out making sure of that!

For the price of the Tacos, you can't beat them. I always order the chicken street tacos. Delicious. 😍

I love this place, the food is amazing. The staff is very kind and the owners are great. By far my favorite plave to eat.

My family and me have been coming here quite frequently It was decent food at a good price the service has never been good but tonight was anew low we all got there at 715 we didn't get drinks (soda) till 745 they took our order than came back 25 minutes later to say they were out of crunchy tacos (they weren't out they just didn't wanna make more as we found out later) so we switch to street tacos which we didn't get till 845. We had a group of twelve which I know takes time but after they seated us 3 other groups came in and got to order first. By the time we got our food it was cold .

Very nice young lady was helping us. We were there before the dinner rush so we had the restaurant all to ourselves. The food could use a little seasoning. Do be careful of the floor it is uneven tiles. Those people with walking disabilities have to be careful on uneven surfaces.

Food was very good and our waitress was very nice.

Nice place, easily visible from the road, good prices, and good service. Having said all that, I read the reviews when we were deciding where to eat. Most of the reviews were good, some bad, but since I saw more good we went. The bad were valid to their experience, but having run a restaurant before I looked around and found that the cleanliness issues seemed to be either from how busy there were as well as the service issues as well. They were filling up when we got there and because there was only 1 waitress on we had to wait for little things but she was attentive.

Friendly service great prices and FOOD. I would go back.
